The discussion centers on the critical miscalculation that Donald Trump mistook the legal immunity granted by the Supreme Court for political immunity, taking his own loyal base for granted. We analyze how demanding voters support highly controversial and heavily criticized candidates—specifically Ken Paxton in Texas and Darlene Graham in South Carolina—was perceived as extreme political arrogance and narcissism, ultimately leading to a decisive rejection at the ballot box.
