He Called Immigrants “Rats” and Lost. నవంబర్ ఎలక్షన్స్ తో పొంచి ఉన్న ముప్పు!

ఈ విద్వేషాన్ని తిరస్కరించడం ఒక మంచి సైన్ అయినప్పటికీ, మనం ఎందుకు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలో కూడా నేను హెచ్చరించాను. ఇండియన్ వ్యాపారాలు, గుడుల మీద దాడులు చేస్తామని బెదిరిస్తున్న రైట్-వింగ్ బ్లాగర్ల రిపోర్ట్స్ ని షేర్ చేశాను. రాబోయే నవంబర్ ఎలక్షన్స్ సమయంలో పరిస్థితులు అస్థిరంగా ఉండొచ్చు కాబట్టి, మన కమ్యూనిటీ అప్రమత్తంగా ఉంటూ అనవసరంగా లైమ్ లైట్ లోకి రాకుండా (keep a low profile) జాగ్రత్తపడాలని సూచించాను.

In this segment from my live stream, I break down the recent Frisco, Texas mayoral run-off election results, which I see as a significant victory and a sigh of relief for our community. I discuss how voters rejected hate by electing Mark Hill over his opponent, Radweller, who had openly made bigoted, anti-Islam, and anti-immigrant remarks—even comparing South Asian and Muslim immigrants to rats.

I highlight a recent *New York Times* article that covered this specific race, noting how unusual it is for a local Dallas suburb election to get national coverage, but emphasizing why it matters for us, given that Indian Americans make up roughly a third of Frisco's population. I also call out the sheer hypocrisy of the losing candidate visiting the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple just days before the election to pander for votes after running a hateful campaign.

While this rejection of bigotry is a great win and a positive sign, I also sound the alarm on why we must remain vigilant. I share disturbing reports from right-wing bloggers threatening violence against Indian-owned businesses and temples, and I urge the community to stay alert and keep a low profile as we head into the volatile November elections.
