ఇటీవల నాతో కలిసి పనిచేసే ఒక కొలీగ్ తన మనసులోని మాటను నాతో పంచుకుంది. ట్రంప్ మంచి ప్రెసిడెంట్ అవుతాడని నమ్మి తను ఎంత మోసపోయిందో, ఆ రాజకీయ నిర్ణయాలు ఇప్పుడు తన కుటుంబాన్ని ఎలా ప్రభావితం చేస్తున్నాయో బాధపడుతూ చెప్పింది. "ఆరోజు మీరు చెప్పిందే నిజమైంది" అని తను అన్నప్పుడు, నాకేం సంతోషం కలగలేదు, నేనేదో గొప్పగానూ ఫీల్ అవ్వలేదు.
అదే సమయంలో, 'అన్నా, ఇది అమెరికా' ఛానెల్ కోసం దాదాపు రెండేళ్లుగా నేను చేస్తున్న ఈ రాజకీయ విశ్లేషణల ప్రయాణం గురించి ఒకసారి వెనక్కి తిరిగి చూసుకున్నాను. అసలు నేను సాధించిందేంటి? అని నన్ను నేను ప్రశ్నించుకున్నాను.
పొడిపొడిగా ఏదో స్పీచ్ ఇచ్చినట్లు కాకుండా, నాలోని ఆలోచనలకి ఒక కవితాత్మక రూపాన్ని ఇవ్వాలనిపించింది. అసలు ఇక్కడ నా పాత్ర ఏంటి? నా ఆశయం ఏంటి? నేను అనుకున్నది సాధించానని నాకు ఎప్పుడు తెలుస్తుంది? ఇలాంటి లోతైన ప్రశ్నల చుట్టూ ఈ వీడియో తిరుగుతుంది.
వ్యూవర్స్ కి ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ ఇవ్వడం కంటే, నా ఆత్మసంతృప్తి కోసమే ఈ వీడియో చేశాను. అయినా సరే, ఈ కవితాత్మకమైన నా ఆలోచనల్ని మీరు కూడా అర్థం చేసుకుంటారని ఆశిస్తున్నాను. ఇలాంటి లోతైన ఆలోచనలు వచ్చినప్పుడు నా అభిమాన కవి మహాకవి శ్రీశ్రీ గారి మాటల్ని తలచుకోకుండా ఎలా ఉంటాను?
Recently, a coworker confided in me. She admitted she had been naive to believe Donald Trump would be a good president, realizing she had been duped, and shared how this political reality is now deeply affecting her family. She told me that I was right all along. However, hearing this brought me no joy or sense of vindication.
Instead, it made me pause and reminisce about my nearly two-year quest of creating political commentary videos for *Anna, idi America*. It led me to ask myself: *Have I accomplished anything?*
Rather than delivering a dry speech on the matter, I decided to take a more lyrical, introspective route. This video is a think piece. It explores profound questions about the political process and my own journey: What is my role here? What do I aspire for? And how do I know when those aspirations have been met, or if this role is truly fulfilling?
I created this piece more for my own creative and intellectual satisfaction than for standard entertainment value. Still, I hope you will appreciate the thoughtful, poetic nature of this reflection. Naturally, as I delve into these deep thoughts, I invoke the timeless words of my favorite author, Mahakavi Sri Sri.
