There is no conspiracy behind calling ourselves Andhras. We all are Andhras, we all are Telingis, and we all are Telugus. The new definition of Andhra to represent Kosta and the new definition of Telangana to represent nine districts of Nizam Telangana is a fabrication of politicians intending to create a wedge between the Telugu tribe.
Many thanks to Aruna garu from Pittsburgh for being the first ever caller on the show. Since MMGL was the first of its kind – a call-in talk/RJ show for Telugu people around the world, I think Aruna garu has bragging rights to be the pioneering caller for a unique show. [I know, I know. I am bragging, right? Well, I have bragging rights! :)]

It was challenge enough to host 40+ film celebrities from India. Hosing a hot-star like Ileana for the event was even more challenging.

By sheer stroke of luck, in 1983 – during the AP Assembly election campaign at the dawn of NTR’s Telugu Desam – I happened to see Smt. Indira Gandhi from less than 50 yards away. While her motorcade passed us, she was waving at the crowds from inside her car. Despite my personal dislike for […]
This news is at least 10 days old. But it is important enough to share with you. [This story is a bit of an extension on the post that was lost earlier: “Is Geithner Goner?”] This guy’s name is Stephen Friedman. While he was the Chairman of NY Fed, he oversaw the bailout of Goldman […]
When you put right analogies to a story, we all say, “Hmmm. Isn’t that right?” This particular is like that of many daytime soap operas in US. Even better analogy is that it is like a Telugu flick where the hero gets entangled with two wives. How does this drama unfold and how it ends?
I did not start this site to discuss the pros- and cons- of Telangana state. It is just one of the issues, which is divisive, and beyond any one of our control. Hopefully, separate Telangana state issue will not be the issue that defines the content of this site. One of the reasons I started […]
Dr. C. Narayana Reedy has recently weighed in on the Telangana issue. He stated that progress is only possible through small states. The statesman that he is, he urged people not to indulge in using harsh rhetoric against people belonging to another region. I believe that there is a right way and there is a […]
I do not belong to any political party. Had I been a US citizen in 2000, I probably would have voted for Bush. However, In the last few elections I have voted straight democratic candidates. I probably will not do the same in 2010. I have interviewed Sri JayaPrakash Narayan in March 2009. He strikes […]
The following is one more experience that I want to share with you from my recent visit to my holy-land, INDIA. Every smoker who had to travel for a long time in air, waits patiently for that taste of smoke at next stop. I am not an exception. Most of my air travel segments were […]

I have been conducting Mohana Muralee GaanaLahari since February 9, 2009. I was pretty much able to avoid any controversy on many controversial subjects I discussed. 30 years ago, 10 years ago, 3 years ago and even today, my stance on the Telangana issue is clear: I am for a united state for all Telugu […]

Foreword: Recent events from the land of the Telugus, which is currently known as has Andhra Pradesh, have troubled me a lot. As a person with Telugu roots, and an advocate of Telugu unity I had enough of this nonsense. It is time to call a-spade a-spade! For years various websites have sprung-up spreading a […]
