But despite our different approaches, we both fundamentally disagree with Arnab Goswami’s hyper-nationalistic amplification of the message.
Following Kiran's thoughts, I delivered my editorial critique on the concept of "mercenary citizenship." I explained why treating naturalized American citizenship like a hotel reservation—ready to be canceled at the first sign of political turbulence—is opportunism, not patriotism. I concluded with my personal resolve: despite my strong opposition to the current Trump administration, I am an American citizen by choice. I am not running away; I am staying right here to fight.
