Now it is Chicago’s Turn

Boston, New York and Washington paid their dues for this winter. Now it is Chicago’s turn. Via Chicago Tribune:

As of 4:30 a.m. the National Weather Service reported 17.3 inches of snow at O’Hare International Airport, 18 inches at Midway Airport, 13.5 inches in Rockford and 13.4 inches in Romeoville. The agency also reported 12 inches in Melrose Park, 10.5 inches in Portage, Ind., 18 inches in Downers Grove, 18 inches in Beach Park and 13.1 inches in Libertyville.

The forecast calls for 2 to 5 inches more this morning, with high winds continuing into the afternoon, at times gusting to 40 mph. Total accumulations will be in the 12- to 18-inch range over north central Illinois and the 15- to 24-inch range in the Chicago area, the weather service said.
