Very Very Sad Day
I woke up to reading two pieces of sad news. One the act of mother nature and the other by a few mad men under the Separate Telangana banner. Japan’s epic 8.9 earthquake is utterly devastating. There is nothing much one could do about this mother nature’s event.
On the other hand, in Andhra Pradesh, insanity reached new heights. Sixteen statues of great Telugu personalities were destroyed.

కోదండరామా, “million march” సఫలీకృతం అయిందని హర్షిస్తున్నానన్నావు. కేవలం ఫుట్ నోట్ గా Tankbund మీది విధ్వంసక చర్యలను ఖండిస్తున్నానంటావా?? ఈ “ఖండించడానికి” అర్ధం ఏమిటో చెబుతారా “ప్రొఫెసర్” గారు. చాల రోజులుగా కెసిఆర్, నువ్వు తదితర JAC నాయకత్వం ద్వేషాన్ని రెచ్చగొట్టారు, కొడుతూనే వున్నారు. మీరు చెప్పిన అబద్ధాలకు విరుగుడు గా చాల నిజాలు బైట పడ్డాయి. ఆ అబద్ధాల పునాదులు పెగిలాక ఇలాంటి ఉన్మత్త చర్యల వల్ల, రోజు రోజుకు మీ ‘ఉద్యమం’ మీద నిరసన పెరుగుతుందే కాని ఆ ఉద్యమం మీద సానుభూతి పెరగదు. ఒక్కటి తెలుసుకో – నీవు నీ గూండాలు ఈ విధ్వంస చర్యతో ఎవరికోసం పోరాడుతున్నామంటున్నారో, మీరు ఆ తెలంగాణా ప్రజల పరువే కాదు, ఏకంగా తెలుగువారి పరువే తీసారు. ఐకమత్యం లేని జాతి మన తెలుగు జాతి అని ఆ శిలాతునకలతోనే నిరూపించారు.
అప్పుడప్పుడు చూస్తూ వుంటాను – నిన్ను గాంధీ తో పోల్చడం. అలాంటి అపోహలేమి పెట్టుకోకు. నరనరాన ద్వేషం నిపుకున్న నీవు నీ చంచాలు నిన్ను ఒక అహింసా వాదిగా చిత్రీకరించడం కన్నా అహింసా సిద్ధాంతానికి అవహేళన లేదు. నువ్వు ‘గాంధి’వి కావు కాదు. గంధేవి. నీవు, నీ నాయకత్వం నిజంగా ఈ హింసాయుత చర్యలను నిరసిస్తే, ఈ ఊరకుక్కలు కరవడం ఆపేవరకు ఉద్యమాన్ని నిలిపే పిలుపునివ్వు.
గాంధి చౌరీ చురా పోలీసు స్టేషన్ దుర్ఘటనతో మొత్తం ఉద్యమాన్నే ఆపివేసే పిలుపునిచ్చాడు. ఆయన అంటే అపారమైన గౌరవం ఉన్న ప్రజలు ఆయన మాట విన్నారు. ఇప్పుడు పరిస్థితులు మీ చేతులు దాటిపోయాయి. నువ్వు ఇప్పుడు ఆపమంటే నీ మాట విని ఈ మూర్ఖులు తమ విధ్వంస చర్యలను ఆపుతారు అని నాకు నమ్మకం లేదు. నీవు రెచ్చగొట్టిన ఉన్మాదులు ఇప్పుడు నీ మాట వినరు. కాని కొంచెమైన నీ క్రెడిబిలిటీ నిలబెట్టుకోవాలంటే నామ మాత్రంగా ‘ఖండించ’డమే కాక హింసా పూరితమైన తెలంగాణా ఉద్యమంలో నీవు భాగస్వామి కాలేవని చెప్పి తప్పుకో.

ధ్వంసమైన విగ్రహాలను పునర్నిర్మింపవచ్చుకాని ధ్వంసమైన తెలుగుజాతి ఆత్మగౌరవం ఎట్లా నిర్మిస్తారు?
– బాబ్రీ మసీదు విధ్వంసం తర్వాత దేశ చరిత్రలో జరిగిన భారీ విధ్వంసం ఇది.
కాంగ్రెస్‌కు పదవి కావాలి. అది లేకపోతే వారు ఫిష్‌ ఔట్‌ ఆఫ్‌ వాటర్‌. సంస్కృతి నాగరికత దేశ భక్తి అన్నీ ఆ తర్వాతనే. పదవి కోసం వాళ్లలో వాళ్లు ఆదిమ మానవులవలె కొట్టుకుంటారు. సమయం వచ్చినప్పుడు మళ్లీ అంతాకలిసి ఇతరుల మీదికి కొట్లాటకు దిగుతారు. టాంక్‌బండ్‌ మీద మహా పురుషుల విగ్రహాలు ధ్వంసం చేసినవారూ చేయించినవారూ బిన్‌లాడెన్‌ కన్నా ఏ విధంగా తక్కువ??
ఐతే మన దేశంలో మరొక ఈజీ ఛైర్‌ పొలిటీషియన్‌ వర్గం ఉంది. వీరినే మహాజ్ఞానులు అని మనం చెప్పుకుంటుంటాము.
”మందిరం అయితేనేమిటి! మసీదు అయితే ఏమిటి! ఏదైనా ఒకటే. అసలు నిరాకారుడైన దేవునికి సాకారంగా గుడికట్టటమే తప్పుకదా! జగత్తు మధ్య -బ్రహ్మయే సత్యమూ దేవుడు గుడిలో – మసీదులో ఉండడు. మానవ హృదయాల్లో ఉంటాడు” ఈ వేదాంతాన్ని అద్వైతులు బ్రహ్మ సామాజీకులూ ఆర్యసమాజీకులు వంటివారు ప్రబోధిస్తూ ఉంటారు.
స్వామి వివేకానంద ఉత్తర భారత పర్యటనలో ఉండగా ఒక రాజావారి ఆస్థానానికి వెళ్లాడు.
”స్వామీ -నాకు విగ్రహారాధన మీద నమ్మకం లేదు. ఈ బొమ్మలో దేవుడు ఉంటాడా ఏమిటి?” అని రాజావారు ప్రశ్నించారు. వివేకానంద స్వామి నవ్వి అక్కడ గోడకు ఉన్న రాజావారి తండ్రిగారి పటం కిందికి దింపించాడు. అక్కడే ఉన్న సేవకుణ్ణి పిలిచి దానిమీద ఉమ్మివేయవలసిందిగా కోరాడు. సేవకుడు భయపడి తాను ఆ పాపం చేయలేను అన్నాడు. ‘ఇది బొమ్మయే కాని మనిషి కాదు. దానిని అవమానించు’ అని వివేదానందుడు కోరాడు. కాని సేవకుడు వినలేదు.
‘రాజా’ చూశావా? ఇది విగ్రహమే కాని సజీవ మానవ రూపం కాదు. ఐనా సేవకుడు ఈ విగ్రహాన్ని అవమానించడానికి ఇష్టపడటంలేదు. ఎందువల్ల అంటే అతనికి ఈ చిత్రపటంలో మీ తండ్రిగారు కన్పడుతున్నారు. ఇదే భావన అంటే -విగ్రహారాధన రహస్యం ఇదే అని వివరించి సోదాహరణంగా చెప్పారు స్వామి వివేకానంద -ఆ క్షణం నుండి రాజావారికి జ్ఞానోదయం కలిగింది.
1970వ దశకంలో వరంగల్‌ పోతనామాత్యుని పంచశతి మహోత్సవాలు వైభవంగా జరిగాయి. పి.వి.నరసింహారావు ఈ ఉత్సవాల ఎడల చాలా ఆసక్తిని కనపరిచారు. కాని స్థానిక విప్లవ రచయితలు ఈ ఉత్సవాలను వ్యతిరేకించారు. కారణం పోతన భక్తకవి -భక్తి అంటే మతం. మతం నల్లమందు లాంటిది. ఇదే సిద్ధాంతం మీద జ్వాలాముఖి నిఖిలేశ్వర్‌, మహాస్వప్నం, చెరబండరాజు, భైరవయ్య వంటి దిగంబర కవులు సంప్రదాయ కవులను తమ ”దిక్‌” కృతంలో హేయంగా ఎంతో అశ్లీలంగా నిందించారు. శాలువాలు కప్పుకున్న పెద్ద పులులు అని పండితులను అందించారు. పంగనామాల పొట్టేళ్లు అని సత్‌ వైష్ణవులను ద్వేషించారు. ఇవాళ దిగంబరులు లేరు. కాని వారు వ్యాపింపజేసిన ద్వేషం మాత్రం మిగిలింది. కొద్ది నెలల క్రితం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం శ్రీకృష్ణ దేవారాయల పంచశతి మహోత్సవాలు చేస్తే దానిని టెర్రరిస్టులు బాయ్‌కాట్‌ చేశారు. గుర్తు తెచ్చుకోండి. వారే టాంక్‌బండ్‌పై శ్రీకృష్ణ దేవరాయల విగ్రహాన్ని ధ్వంసం చేసి జలార్పణం చేశారు. ఇస్లామిక్‌ తాలిబన్ల కన్నా వీరు ఏ విధంగా తక్కువ? (తాలిబన్‌ అంటే స్టూడెంట్‌ అని అరబ్బీ భాషలో అర్థం).
10 మార్చి 2011 వ సంవత్సరం గురువారం నాడు హైదరాబాద్‌ నగరంలో ఒక భయంకర సంఘటన జరిగింది. టాంక్‌బండ్‌ మీద ఉన్న నన్నయ్య, బ్రహ్మనాయుడు, వీరేశలింగం పంతులు, శ్రీశ్రీ, జాషువా, సిద్ధేంద్రయోగి, బళ్లారి రాఘవ వంటి ప్రాతాస్మరణీయులైన పదహారు మంది మహాపురుషుల విగ్రహాలను టెర్రరిస్టులు ధ్వంసం చేశారు. ఈ సంఘటన జరిగిన కొద్దిసేపటికి రాజ్‌ టి.వి. ఛానల్‌లో జరిగిన పనిని సమర్థిస్తూ ఒక వార్త వచ్చింది. ‘టాంక్‌బండ్‌ మీద చాకలి ఐలమ్మ, కొమరం భీం సర్వాయి పావడి బొమ్మలు ఉండాలేకాని ఈ నన్న య్య ఎవడు? సిద్ధేంద్రుడు ఎవడు? శ్రీశ్రీ ఎవడు? ఇలా వ్యాఖ్యానం సాగింది. అన్నమయ్య కేవలం రాయలసీమకు చెందిన కవికాడు. మొత్తం మానవాళి సమైక్యతను కోరిన ప్రవక్త బ్రహ్మమొక్కటే -నిండార రాజు నిద్రించు నిద్రము నొకటే -అండనే ఉన్న బంటు నిద్రయు నొకటే -అని ఒక పదం వ్రాశాడు. అలాంటి భక్తకవి విగ్రహాన్ని ధ్వంసం చేసింది నక్సలైటు ఉద్యమకారులే అనేది సుస్పష్టం. బళ్లారి రాఘవ కేవలం రాయలసీమ వాడేకాదు మొత్తం మానవాళికి చెందిన మహానటుడు. ఆయన తన నాటక కళతో ఆ రోజుల్లో లండన్‌ వంటి నగరాల్లో తెలుగు తేజం ప్రదర్శించి వచ్చాడు.
సిద్ధేంద్ర యోగి తెలుగువారికి కూచిపూడి నాట్య భిక్షను ప్రసాదించిన రుషి. ఆయనను పోషించింది ఎవరో తెలుసా? గోల్కొండ నవాబు -అలాంటి సిద్ధేంద్ర యోగి విగ్రహం జలనిమజ్జనం చేశారు. నన్నయ భట్టులేకపోతే సంస్కరింపబడిన తెలుగు భాషయే లేదు. పాల్కూరికి సోమనాథుడు, తిక్కన పోతన వంటి మహాకవులు తర్వాత వచ్చిన తెలుగు భాషకూ సంస్కృతికీ నన్నయభట్టు ఆద్యుడు -పూజ్యుడు. నలభై ఏళ్లక్రితం దిగంబర కవులు నన్నయను గౌతమ బుద్ధుణ్ణి బూతులు తిడుతూ వ్రాసిన కవితలు గుర్తుకు తెచ్చుకుంటే ఈ విధ్వంసం వెనుక ఉన్న మనస్తత్వం ఏమిటో అర్థమవుతుంది. 2010వ సంవత్సరంలో కాసు బ్రహ్మానందరెడ్డి విగ్రహాన్ని హైదరాబాద్‌లో ధ్వంసం చేశారు. ఆయనను నేను చూశాను. పరమ సాత్వి కుడు, సమర్థుడైన పాలకుడు కూడా. రెడ్డిగారిని పదవి నుండి దింపటం కోసం అదే పార్టీకి చెందిన మరొక రెడ్డి విజృంభించటం 1960వ దశకంలోని చరిత్రయే – ఇద్దరూ ఒకే కులానికే ఒకే పార్టీకీ చెందినవారు. ఐనా రాజకీయ విధ్వంసం జరిగింది. సరిగ్గా 2011లో కూడా అదే జరుగుతున్నది.
లింగాయత వీరశైవుల మీది కోపంతో యడ్యూరప్పకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కర్నాటకలో ఉద్యమాలు వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా 12వ శతాబ్దికి చెందిన ప్రవక్త బసవన్నగారి విగ్రహాలు ధ్వంసం చేయటం పరిపాటి. అలాగే అంబేద్కర్‌ విగ్రహానికి తారుపూయటం చెప్పుల దండలు వేయటం మహారాష్ట్ర ఉత్తర భారతం వంటి ప్రాంతాల్లో తరచు జరగటం గమనార్హం. అండమాన్స్‌లో స్వతంత్ర వీర సావర్కార్‌ స్మృతి శిలాఫలకాన్ని ధ్వంసం చేసిన ఘనత వహించిన నాటి కేంద్రమంత్రి మణిశంకర అయ్యర్‌? అప్పుడు మహా రాష్ట్ర చాలా పెద్ద ఉద్యమం నడిచింది. తమిళ నాడులో పెరియార్‌ రామస్వామి ద్రవిడ కళగం ఉద్యమాలు నడిపినప్పుడు రాముడు సీత విగ్రహాలకు చెప్పుల దండలు వేసి ఊరేగించటం ఒక చారి త్రక సత్యం. క్రైస్తవులకు కోపం వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా హిందూ దేవీ దేవతలపై నిప్పుల వర్షం కురిపిస్తూ ఉంటారు. తొండంలో ఎక్కడైన దేవుడు ఉంటాడా? దేవుడు కరుణా మయుడే కాని శూలాలు, బల్లెములు ధరిస్తాడా? అని ఎగ తాళి చేస్తూ ఉంటారు. నిజమే కదా! కాని సమాజంలో నరరూప రాక్షసులు నాస్తికులూ ఉన్నంత వరకు ఆస్తికులు ఆత్మరక్షణ కోసం శూలములు ధరించాలి అని ఆ విగ్ర హాల సందేశం. అఫ్‌జల్‌ ఖాన్‌ ఫయిస్తఖాన్‌లు చేసిన దుర్మా ర్గాల తర్వాత మహారాష్ట్రలో ఛత్రపతి శివాజీ సాంస్కృతిక పునరుజ్జీవనం చేశాడు. ధ్వంసమైన దేవాలయాలన్నింటినీ పునర్నిర్మించాడు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ముఖ్యమంత్రి నల్లారి కిరణ్‌ కుమార్‌రెడ్డి టాంక్‌బండ్‌ మీద ధ్వంసమైన దేవతా మూర్తులను మళ్ళీ నిర్మించజేయవచ్చు. కాని తెలుగు జాతి హృదయాలకు సాంస్కృతికంగా కలిగిన గాయాలను మాన్ప గలడా?? అటు అన్నమయ్య – ఇటు శ్రీశ్రీ, గురజాడ విగ్ర హాలు ధ్వంసమైన తర్వాత ఇంకా ఏ ముఖం పెట్టుకొని అటు ఎ.బి.వి.పి, బి.జె.పి వారూ – ఇటు సి.పి.ఐ వారు టెర్రరిస్టులతో కలిసి ఉద్యమాలు నడుపుతారో పదికోట్ల మంది తెలుగు ప్రజలకూ సంజాయిషీ చెప్పాలి.
ఆర్ధర్‌ కాటన్‌ తెలుగు వారికి జలబిక్ష పెట్టిన అపర భగీరథుడు. కవయిత్రి వెనుకబడిన వర్గాలకు చెందిన కుమ్మరి మొల్ల స్త్రీ జాతికే అలంకార ప్రాయం ప్రపంచ మహిళా దినోత్సవం నాడు ఆమె విగ్రహాన్ని కూల్చడం తాలి బాన్లు మానవాళికి కవితా సౌందర్యంలో పద్య శిల్పంలో ఇచ్చిన విప్లవ సందేశం జాషువా దళిత మహా కవి. విశ్వ నాథ సత్యానారాయణ కన్నా ఏ విధంగానూ తీసిపోడు మరి. ఆయన విగ్రహం ఎందుకు ధ్వంసం చేశారు? గుంటూరు జిల్లా వినుకొండలో పుట్టటమే ఆయన చేసిన పాపమా?? ఇక్కడ మాల మహానాడు మాదిగ హక్కుల దండోరా వంటి దళిత సంఘాలు ఈ ఘోరానికి ఏం సమాధానం చెపుతారు?
త్రిపురనేని రామస్వామి చౌదరి హేతువాది మంత ఛాందస వాదాన్ని ఎదిరించినవాడు – ఆయన విగ్రహం ఎందుకు ధ్వంసం చేశారు?? కేవలం తెనాలిలో పుట్టడమే ఆయన చేసుకున్న పాపమా? సైద్ధాంతికంగా శ్రీశ్రీతో అంగీకరించని వారు కూడా శ్రీశ్రీ కవితా సౌందర్యాన్ని ప్రశంసించారు. అలాంటి విప్లవ శక్తిని కూడా ఈ విప్లవకారులు ధ్వంసం చేశారు. కారణం శ్రీశ్రీ ఆంధ్రుడో – అంటే ఉద్యమం పేరుతో అండర్‌ గ్రౌండ్‌ టెర్రరిస్టులు జనంలో చొరబడ్డారని అర్థం.
ఇంత విధ్వంసం జరుగుతుంటే క్షమాపణలు చెప్పకపోగా, ఆ ముసుగులు ధరించి వచ్చింది మఫ్తీ పోలీసులే అని ప్రొఫెసర్ స్టేట్‌మెంట్‌!! (dŸృూŸ్శ)

Jai Telangana !!!! Guys destruction of statues is really a talibanised way but why didn’t u guys utter a single word when students committed suicide for telangana ? Your first statement is showing that you are here for a fight but not for an argument. OK I’ll take it in a lighter vein. Who encouraged your so-called 600 students to commit suicide? TRS. Does TRS does any good for those 600 families who lost their life supporters?

Think like you have a only son and you have a lot of wishes on him and send him to Hyderabad to study well, graduate, get a good job and bring your family up. What these students have done? They forgot their primary duty, education. They started vandalising public private property, fell into dirty politicians and neo-politicians nest and gave up their lives. As a father of one of those 600 students, what would be your feeling? Do you fell proud that you son gave up his life? I don’t think so. If you fell proud, you’d be the biggest fool on the earth besides your son. Your son didn’t gave up his life protecting the country or fighting against foreign evils. He gave up his life just because of some politicians.
People like Harish Rao are idles of these idiiots. He “showed-up” that he will commit to suicide in many incidents but he never did so. Why don’t you so called Telanagana activists ask him why didn’t he gave up his life?
I am from Telangana, I am proud of it. But I never asked these 600 students nor TRS Leaders to fight for me…so I don’t need to respond to their suicides.
I dont know how in the world people studying in osmania university campus behave like rowdies? You are students not goons. If you feel like vandalising prpoerties go join Talibans. Shameless Kodandaram, Kavita and KCR, KTR still supports vandalising public private properties.
Until and unless people like you open your eyes, these people never give up their terror activities.
I would encourage you to go ahead and do a march to Kukatpally or Vanasthalipuram and see what happens. There is a limit for everything mister…You can’t keep everyone in sleep all the time.

Very sad. This is the time to be united. Don’t give chance to separatists by seeing all these..
Please do not scold elected representatives. We elected them and is our responsibility to make sure they uphold the democratic values of the country. Any Indian citizen can file a PIL (Public interest litigation) in the high court to take action against the act. Any lawyer can help you out. I tried to find one but in vain.

Even some of the High Court justices like Justice Nagarjun Reddy, are Pro-telanagana supporters. Even if some judges are impartial, the so-called Lawyers JAC will not let them do their job. Just remember the episode of Justice Meena Kumari and Justice Goda Raghuram. They are more of goonds and rowdies than lawyers.
The only way we can stop these people by imposing Military rule. Take all TRS Leaders and OU JAC, Lawyers JAC into custody and lock them up in Tihar Jail. This is only hallucination 🙂 May be Colonel Gaddafi or Hosni Mubarak can train our forces how to do this 😀
I wonder if any action is initiated against these mad people. I can’t stop by just calling them mad people, but being on public forum I can’t relegate myself to their level who attacked on JP in Assembly or who destroyed the pride of entire Telugu Nation on Tankbund. I was feeling bad being a Telanganite and now I am totally ashamed of being a person from Telangana region.
Think about 11/26 attacks, Central Govt and Maharashtra govt are serving and treating Kasab as their “Sankranti Alludu”. If a person who is convicted under attack on nation is in jail enjoying all the facilities, how can I expect anonymous people who destroyed these statues will be punished by law or court.

Lets not talk about Eenadu at all. Today it is the most useless and senseless news paper in the world. Their entire efforts, and knowledge base are only used to bring Jagan down. With their infrastructure, network and knowledge base they have they can easily bring down the T-movement if they properly use their resources and publish the facts about the separation movement. But they don’t do that because they are not worried of the state’s well being. Ramoji’s only worry is how to bring down Jagan and his father’s name (I am not a supporter of Jagan, but the way eenadu writes, I feel this is their single point agenda). Being the spectator of Andhrites history for last 34 years, they are not helping for the unity of the state in any way. This is what makes me to hate eenadu.
Though it is a small channel, HMTV has done some good work bringing intellectuals from all areas to one stage (HMTV Dasha Disha) and discuss the Telangana issue on several venues across the state. Of course as the decision being delayed and the emotions were aggravated, this program went out of control.

It is extreme influence of selfish politicians. If people really want improvement in any area, people should do March million to fight against corrupted politicians. Bring pressure for improving the government schools, for improving technology which can create so many jobs for us, for improving law and order, for changing the whole system in government ruling system, for improving health centers so on. What can be achieved by destroying the statues or any other property in our own state? Feels really ashamed. Everyone has to question themselves before participating in any kind of insane activities. Its doesn’t matter which region, everyone in the country should act with responsibility rather than getting drived away like sheeps (gorrellaga ) to whatever selfish politicians do. What is the guarantee that these politicians bring progress. Are they going to make a new America by dividing or Are they struggling all these activities which can bring political power and improve their personal properties as self? What a foolish act. Natural disasters anyway we cannot stop, atleast stop destroying our own state esteem and properties.
Its ridiculous to have this kind of the situation in Andhra Pradesh. just for the sake of political gains leaders are driving the show towards the destruction of the own city. Taliban destroyed Budha.. but these people destroyed our own people statues who helped for Andhra. I am belongs to Hyderabad i feel bad to see my own city becoming debris.
I am really hurt for this. please leaders wake up and do some thing for people. instead of destroy. when you can not construct please dont destroy.

Very sad to see and read about this news. I am literally in tears to see our historical people in this condition. It is like insuting ourself. By doing this they are losing their chances of getting separate state.I personally wish for President rule to control these idiots. KCR, Kodandaram (chaala manchi name, spoil chesesadu), Harish and KTR are all responsible for this situation, all should be pubished.
It is so unfortunate some radicals have destroyed Telugu history! I am a telugu from Tamilnadu, I was in Hyderabad when Late CM NT Rama Rao garu had got the statues of Poets, kings that contributred to the telugu history installed in the tank bund which was a narrow road connecting secunderabad and Hyderabad in the same concept followed in Madras beach road.
Each Statue had details of their contribution, and very well portrayed for younger generations to remember.
There are telugu people statues in Madras as well, no one destroyed them like Raja of panagal, in panagal park, names of places like Thyagaraya Nagar. This is just like Taliban destroying Budda statues in Afghanistan. I hope people who organize this should be severely punished. They do not know the history and roots where they come from. I am sorry I cannot go on writing, I am very sad by this incident.
