Mannan is a reamake of Telugu block buster ‘Gharana Mogudu.’ Superstar, Rajani Kanth and Ramulamma are main cast.
I am pretty sure there is no song in Gharana Mogudu that shows Chiru taking care of his mother. But Tamil version has this:

Mannan is NOT a remake of Gharana Mogudu. They both made based on Kannada Movie ‘Anuraaga Aralitu’ *ing Dr. Rajkumar. Mannan released on 14th Jan 1992 where as ‘Gharana Mogudu’ released on 9th April 1992.
